Where is the IFACONF2025 being held?

The 17th Global Conference on Ageing will be held in-person only from 9th September to 12th September 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa with a pre-conference event being held on 9th September.

How do I register?

You can register for the Conference by visiting the Registration page.

Can I register now and pay later?

To register for the conference, select the ‘Pay Later’ option at the end of the Registration Form. When you are ready to complete your payment, go to the ‘Pay Now’ page located under the ‘Registration’ button on the main men. Enter your registration ID number, which you will receive via email after registering, and proceed with the payment.

Where can I find the registration fees?

You can find the registration fees listed under the ‘Registration’ button on the main menu.

Are early bird discounts available?

Yes, Early Bird discount fees are available for both IFA and Non-IFA Members.

Here are the Early Bird rates:

  • IFA Member, Early Bird: May 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025 – $450 USD
  • Non-Member, Early Bird: May 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025 – $600 USD

These rates offer a reduced fee for those who register early, providing an excellent opportunity to save on registration costs.

Where can I review my registration information?

You can review your registration information in the confirmation email sent to you upon registration. To find information on your registration, please look for an email with the subject “IFA Conference Website Registration – Thank you for registering”. To find the email containing your unique registration ID number, look for an email from Berenice Anaya (banaya@ifa.ngo) with the subject “Registration number for IFA’s 17th Global Conference on Ageing 2025.”

Can I register on-site?

  • Payment in ZAR (South African Rand) is exclusively available for delegates from South Africa.
Do I have to be registered to be able to submit an abstract?

Delegates interested in submitting an abstract for the conference must first register. Payment is not required during registration. Once registered, you will receive an email containing your unique registration ID number. You will need this ID number to submit your abstract through our online portal. For detailed instructions and guidelines on abstract submission, please visit the Submit an Abstract page.

Do I have to have my final abstract ready when submitting an application?

No, you don’t have to have your final abstract ready at the time of application. You can submit a preliminary version of your abstract to initiate the application process. Once your abstract is finalized, you can return to the portal and submit the updated version. This allows flexibility for refining and perfecting your abstract before the submission deadline.

Where can I find information about the event agenda and schedule?

he general agenda as well as daily schedules will be provided in the coming months leading up to the event. Once finalized, the agenda will be accessible on our website. Additionally, it will be shared via our official social media channels and featured in IFA’s monthly newsletter, VoltAGE.
